This diary will be written about twice monthly
during the summer by either Charlie or Clare to keep you updated with what is happening with the crops, people and wildlife
on the farm and anything else we feel maybe of interest.

| Harvesting Mint |
When there are small customer orders for ruby chard,
black cabbage or mint, rather than use the tractor to take the boxes in and out I use Neil with the company bicycle!!. He
will cycle to the field, harvest the product and either bring it in on the front of the bike or leave at the end ready for
collection. Although these sales are small they add up at the end of the year and sales have increased over time particularly
when a TV chef uses one of the products. Look at fresh coriander (cilantro) 20 years ago in the UK it was very hard to
source unless it was in seed form now every supermarket has it all year round. I have a recipe booklet that I take to
the farmers market which I will put on the website when time become a little less busy!!

| Box of Mint |
The strips that were sown in the early summer with a
mixture of clovers and trefoils for bees and butterflies have been a great success and next year we shall put some more mixes
down in areas where cropping is not feasible.
